Bits and pieces & my favorite song at the moment.

Hiya Everyone

Thought I had better write a bit of a spiel to keep you all updated because its been so long, It has been a couple of really grey weeks here.

Kids have had colds, Harry got a sudden outbreak of mouth ulcers and we had an uphill battle to stop him going backwards, this poor little kid was so hungry but it just caused him so much pain to try and feed. We would dip his dummy in a local anaesthetic solution to try and numb his mouth. I have been becoming a little unglued ( to put it mildly) because the sheer lack of sleep and mopping up after a refluxy bub catches up with you , Harry still feeds every 2 -3 hours through the night and some days it is hard to keep up a wobbly smile. However I still have so much to be grateful for so that's the end of my little sook session.

I don't have time to put of photos at the moment but there is something I wanted to share with you all.

Stephen Curtis Chapman is one of the most popular Christian singers at the moment and his song 'Cinderella' is my favorite song. He explains the story behind it after the song and it is well worth listening to. We all rush through raising our children and sometimes don't stop enough to savour the moments and memories. This song is about slowing down to enjoy our childrens growning years because before we know it they are gone.

On Wednesday his little 5 year old daughter Maria Sue was killed in an accident. She was one of his daughters who gave him the idea and inspiration for the song.

I hope the link works and I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I do.

Hope you all have a great week

Cheers, Connie

Connie, I'm so sorry to hear you've been having a hard couple of weeks with little Harry. It must be truly exhausting getting up through the night and caring for your family through the day. Man, how do you do it? Poor little mite with ulcers. That must be so painful. Is it clearing up now?
Do you have some help handy, even just to catch a few zzzz's during the day? Sister? Mum? Hope things look up for you soon.
I did listen to that song and it is beautiful. How sad the little girl was killed. Tragic. We are blessed, aren't we? We'll all hug our kids a little tighter tonight, I'm sure.
Take care.

Wow Connie welcome back and i am now understanding what you mean by your life of ups and down and being strong for the whole family along with support from Murray of course.
How sad that this guys little girl has passed away, but the joy that she lives on in his song.
May God's love and peace be brought to this family in this time or tragedy.
Thanks for sharing and making me too realise that life is so short wether we have big kids or young kids it makes no diff.
All the best and enjoy your weekend!

Hi Connie,
I have just come back from a shopping trip with my sister, and she bought his cd, especially for that song - so we listened to it in my car on the way home. I liked it!
I hope your family is doing better with it's coughs and colds.
Take care!
Sarah
PS: The flower stamp is from the set "Petal Prints", p.74 of catalogue if you have one.

Hey Connie
I hope little Harry soon feels better - poor little kid - they have to endure so much at such a young age - poor little thing!
That Cinderella song has to be one of my favourites at the moment as well - Most mornings on the way to work I hear it on the radio - never really knew who sang it but now I do. How wonderful that he can also share in the joy and knowledge that his little girl is in heaven now! I hope you have a wonderful blessed Sunday and take care - hope you can catch up on some sleep soon and hope little Harry soon feels better. Luv, Erica xx
